Robert J. Harris

Robert J. Harris was born, raised and educated in Washington and
Oregon. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1982. In 1986 he
earned his law degree at Northwestern School of Law in Portland where he
graduated cum laude. He is a member of the Oregon and Washington State Bars. Mr.
Harris is a member of both the American Bankruptcy Institute and the National
Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
While Mr. Harris has handled many consumer bankruptcies he also brings
experiences in bankruptcy issues related to business debts, and real estate
matters. He has assisted clients with reorganizations and debt relief and
restructuring for their small businesses and sole proprietorships. He has
extensive litigation experience.
He was Hillsboro Municipal Court Judge for ten years and is currently a Hearings
Officer for METRO (Portland's Regional Government), Multnomah County and Clean
Water Services of Washington County.
Mr. Harris is involved in his community as the current Chairman of the
Hillsboro Library Board. His past community activities include, Director of Head
Start, Director of Washington County Bar Association, Commissioner, Washington
County Commission on Children and Families and Member of the Juvenile Crime
Committee for Washington County.
